Appointment of Roger L. Stevens as a Member of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities April 26, 1988
The President today announced his intention to appoint Roger L. Stevens to be a member of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities. This is an initialappointment.
Since 1961 Mr. Stevens has been Chairman of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Mr. Stevens attended the University of Michigan. He was born March 12, 1910, in Detroit, MI. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Stevens is married, has one child, and currently resides in Washington, DC.
