Lytton Strachey


Lytton Strachey (March 1, 1880-January 21, 1932) was a British writer and critic who is best known for his biographies Eminent Victorians (1918) and Queen Victoria (1921). His biographical work favored personal content over political content and shaped the way biographies were written. He was also a key member of the Bloomsbury Group, which included many of the leading English intellectuals of his time.
