George Gissing

George Robert Gissing (November 22, 1857-December 28, 1903) was a British novelist. He published 23 novels, including well known works like The Nether World (1889), New Grub Street (1891), and The Odd Women (1893). His books are noted for realism and the portrayal of economic struggles of the middle-class.
