Reign of Hammurabi of Babylon

Hammurabi ruled the Babylonian Kingdom from 1792 to 1750 BCE. During his time in power, he expanded Babylon throughout Mesopotamia and developed one of the world's first codes of law. The following documents include the code of law that he developed, known as the Code of Hammurabi.
