Fuller, Alvan Tufts

Fuller, Alvan Tufts, a Representative from Massachusetts; born in Boston, Mass., February 27, 1878; attended the public schools; engaged in mercantile pursuits; owner of the Packard Motor Car Co. of Boston; member of the State house of representatives in 1915; delegate to the Republican National Convention at Chicago in 1916; elected as a Republican to the Sixty-fifth and Sixty-sixth Congresses and served from March 4, 1917, to January 5, 1921, when he resigned, having been elected Lieutenant Governor; Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts 1921-1924; elected Governor of Massachusetts in 1924 and assumed his duties January 7, 1925; reelected in 1926 for the term expiring January 1, 1929; resumed the automobile business; is a resident of Boston, Mass.
