I WISH you would transmit to Commander Byrd my sincere good wishes and my faith in him. HERBERT HOOVER
NOTE: The message was sent to the New York Newspaper Club, 136 West 42d Street, New York City, and transmitted as a part of a radio program relayed toCommander Byrd and his expedition in Little America. Little America was the expedition base where Commander Byrd was preparing for his flight to the South Pole on November 29.
