Nomination of Two Members of the National Council on the Handicapped February 3, 1987
The President today announced his intention to nominate the following individuals to be members of the National Council on the Handicapped for terms expiring September 17, 1989: Theresa Lennon Gardner, of the District of Columbia. She would succeed Jeremiah Milbank. Mrs. Gardner has been a teacher and volunteer with the therapeutic riding program of Washington, DC. She was born on December 5, 1941, in Washington, DC. Harry J. Sutcliffe, of New York. He would succeed Michael Marge. Since 1959 Mr. Sutcliffe has been director at the Episcopal Guild for the Blind in Brooklyn, NY. He was born on August 10, 1925, in Brooklyn.
