Kelly, William
Kelly, William, a Senator from Alabama; born in Tennessee in 1770; received a classical education; studied law; was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Huntsville, Ala.; elected to the United States Senate to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of John W. Walker and served from December 12, 1822, to March 3, 1825; moved to New Orleans, La., and died there in 1832.
