Letter to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House Transmitting a Defense Reorganization Order.

UPON THE ADVICE of the Secretary of the Army, the Secretary of Defense has recently approved a reorganization within the Department of the Army designed to streamline Army Staff operations and realize personnel savings at the headquarters level.
I am enclosing for transmittal to the Chairman of the Armed Services Committee a communication from the Secretary of Defense together with a Defense Reorganization Order issued pursuant to section 125 of title 10, United States Code, and required to effect the transfer incident to the reorganization of certain statutory functions within the Department of the Army.
