2806. Vincent Sheean, 1899–

Vincent Sheean established the journalistic type of book wherein the author’s life is the nexus for observations of world events by a news reporter. Considered as one of the best such writers, Sheean has also written straight biography and much fiction, such as the novels Bird of the Wilderness (1941), Rage of the Soul (1952), and Lily (1954).
